I love donghua now more than japanese trashi-kie animation. Donghua are awesome. Endless ep. In this very day i never got disappointed much like i did watching japanese animation. Donghua has better story than some of the big anime out there

altho i agree with most of what you said.. SOME donghua have better story than allot of anime. the problem is that dialogues in donghua are trash or just chinese doesnt translate well in english. characters are forgetable except the MC and the stories are the same. This particular donghua tho is rater unique amongst other but the ones that bring something new are too few. That being said i watch both anime and dongha good or bad ... too much free time on my hands that needs to be filled with something so nowadays hundreds of episodes vs 12 eps that are 80% slice of life filler and/or fanservice i gotta say donghas have a "slight" advantage :)

i havent said anything about subs.. altho most are bad i have seen the "good" versions too. even so i still consider dialogues trash.. 5year old level of intelligence.. even so as you said anime and donghua have good and bad things about them.. there are many edges anime have over donghua not just the few that you mentioned one of them is lack of subtlety, originalty, trash villains, character developement, world building, pacing and i could go on forever with this. At any rate there are advantages too.. donghua have more episodes even if they are short.. cultivation series are addictive cause the MCs are powerful and when they deliver justice/vengeance it feels really satisfying and so on.. as for the reason to be here thats not for you to decide everyone has their reason mine is cause there are not enough series to fill my time with
